NFL Tournament.......One for the Ages. Be Honest.

This Tournament is exclusively for the fans who are honest and think they know what is really gonna happen. Be Honest and choose the teams you think would most likely go to the Super Bowl. The seeding was determined by myself and is based off what the team did last season and how experts think they will do next season. How they did in the draft is also a factor in determining the seeding. Do NOT go crazy if your team is seeded a little low, becuase there are ONLY 2 brackets. 32 teams is an even # so i had to come up with what i had to. I considered Divisions, how many wins they had last year, free agents and all that stuff, so don't complain.

(1) Patriots vs. (16) Raiders
(8) Rams vs. (9) Eagles
(4) Steelers vs. (13) Panthers
(5) Jaguars vs. (12) Bengals
(6) Vikings vs. (11) Bills
(3) Giants vs. (14) Ravens
(7) Broncos vs. (10) Lions
(2) Chargers vs. (15) 49ers

(1) Colts vs. (16) Dolphins
(8) Titans vs. (9) Redskins
(4) Seahawks vs. (13) Chiefs
(5) Buccaneers vs. (12) Bears
(6) Packers vs. (11) Texans
(3) Saints vs. (14) Falcons
(7) Browns vs. (10) Cardinals
(2) Cowboys vs. (15) Jets

Western Conference Predictions..............

1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Spurs
4. Jazz
5. Rockets
6. Suns
7. Mavericks
8. Nuggets

8. Nuggets vs. 1. Lakers- The Lakers should completley tear apart the Denver Nuggets who in return, get two stars with real star power and cannot turn it into anything but a mediocre playoff appearance. With Kobe Bryant alone I think the Lakers can sweep the Nuggets. The Lakers with Andrew Bynum, Kobe, Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol and my boy Ronny Turiaf, the Lakers will spread out the Nuggets, and will feed the down low post until the Nuggets stop it and then they will ride the horse of Kobe.
                                                                       Lakers in 5.

5. Rockets vs. 4. Jazz- With home court advantage a REAL advantage for the Jazz and the sea of purple, i don't see the Rockets getting out of the first round agian. This evidence of the Jazz having a great record at home should result in the Jazz winning the series. Carlos Boozer, D Will, and AK47 should finish off the Rockets without Yao Ming. The Rockets are a good team, however, the fight of TMac getting out of the 1st round will keep on haunting him because The home court advantage should pull them through. Series same as last year. Nothing has changed but the dates on the calendars.
                                                                           Jazz in 7.

6. Suns vs. 3. Spurs- This heated rivalry started by Robert Horry vs. Steve Nash should continue to the 2008 season. This classic series should be a test of mental toughness and mental strength. The Spurs will try to wear down the likes of the Suns. Shaq will be a difference maker for the Suns if they have a chance of winning the series. I think this series is the most intriguing. Both teams are equally match and know both of themselves very well. Great series with potential of early conference championship written all over it.
                                                                           Suns in 6.

7. Mavericks vs. 2. Hornets- Trying not to be a homer and give my full fledged opinion, i believe the Hornets are a much better team. Coming off their 67 win season and a loss in the 1st round, the Mavericks are back in the playoffs. Dirk Nowitzki is gonna have to pass the ball to Josh Howard and Jason Kidd is gonna have to have an outstanding series if the Mavs have any shot. MVP candidate CP3 is just too good for the Mavs backcourt and get get to the basket. Chris Paul is an outstanding competitor and don't plan on betting on them to lose the series.
                                                                            Hornets in 6.

Eastern Conference Playoff Predictions...........

1. Celtics
2. Pistons
3. Magic
4. Cavaliers
5. Wizards
6. Raptors
7. Sixers
8. Hawks

First Round Matchups

8. Hawks vs. 1. Celtics- The Celtics should make easy time with the Hawks with the big 3 of Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. Even after the 9 year drought of the playoffs for the Hawks ended the Celtics will make the Hawks go home again. These games really shouldn't be even close and it should be a tune up for the survivor of the Wizards vs. Cavs matchup
                                                             Celtics in 4.

5. Wizards vs. 4 Cavaliers- With Caron Butler and Agent 0 healthy, the Wizards are looking to end the playoff dissapointment for the 3rd straight year to the Cavs. A quote from Agent 0 himself "It is hard to defeat a team 3 straight years in the playoffs," "We know we can beat them it is a matter of going out there and doing it." I truly believe the Wizards are going to get revenge on the Cavs and this series will be prolonged due to the fact LeBron James is just that good and Big Z will hit clutch 3s at the end of the games.
                                                            Wizards in 6.

6. Raptors vs. 3. Magic- Dwight Howard is a beast. Just with that fact, he can turn around a bad game with just one dunk or an end of game block to seal the deal. Even though I like Chris Bosh and T.J. Ford, I do not think they have the firepower to keep up with faster Magic guards. These games will go down to the wire but I see the Magic keep on trucking.
                                                              Magic in 6.

7. 76ers vs. 2. Pistons- Here you go again Pistons fans, another try to get to the Eastern Conference Finals for a 7th Straight year. All that stands in front of you are the Sixers, Raptors and Magic. I love the defense you bring with Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton. My advice on this series? Well you should pick the Pistons because Andre Iguodala and Samuel Dalembert is not enough........The Sixers have not made it to the playoffs since the end of the Allen Iverson era, and don't expect them to do much.

                                                              Pistons in 5.

Other playoff predictions for the west and other determined matchups as they come out.
